Winter Haven, Florida – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a bomb threat at Lake Shipp Elementary. Earlier this morning ( Thursday, December 7) the school was placed on some sort of lockdown.

Carrie Horstman, Public Information Officer for PCSO, did advise that the threat was taken seriously and they “went through the school room by room with our K9s and detectives”. The school was found to be clear and the lockdown lifted.
