On the evening of October 2, 2024 just after 8:00 p.m. Winter Haven Fire Department and Polk County Fire Rescue were dispatched to a structure fire at a senior apartment home complex (Winter Haven Manor Senior Apartments), located at 140 Avenue A SW in Winter Haven.
According to City of Winter Haven’s Public Safety Public Information Officer (PIO) Jamie Brown, one unit in the senior apartment home complex had a kitchen fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished, though it resulted in smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported.
