A train vs pedestrian incident occurred early this morning in the area of W G Roe Park in Winter Haven. The pedestrian is alert and expected to make a full recovery.
However, the stopped train has impacted multiple crossings to include Ave. R SW, Lake Shipp, 15th St to 26th St.
The train was stopped for a period of time for CSX to conduct their investigation. Drivers who usually navigate through the City of Winter Haven over railroad crossings were asked to utilize alternate routes.
