Winter Haven, Florida – The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a hit & run driver who killed a pedestrian In Winter Haven. According to an FHP report the suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Lake Howard Drive, east of 15th Street NW, where the pedestrian was on foot crossing the roadway. The suspect vehicle collided with the pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
Following the collision, which appears to have occurred around 6:50pm Saturday evening, the suspect vehicle fled the scene and was described as possibly a silver Dodge Caliber with Virginia plates.
