Lake Wales, Florida- The Lake Wales Police Department responded to a call of “shots fired” in the area of Polk Ave., Townsend Ave. & Steedly Ave. late Wednesday afternoon. While officers were in the area they also heard gunshots. According to the Lake Wales Police Department’s Deputy-Chief, David Black, officers were able to track down the man who was firing the shots.
LWPD officers took Victor Hansen into custody. According to Black, the suspect alleges that he shot into the ground. The incident is under investigation, but there is currently no danger to the public.
