In response to your inquiries, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation on railroad tracks at Neptune Road just south of Hillcrest Road near Recker Hwy in Winter Haven, since around 6:00 pm this evening.
Traffic is backed up on Recker Hwy. The decedent is an adult homeless male. The train is a CSX train.
