On May 5th, 2024, detectives from the Auburndale Police Department launched an investigation into a homicide shooting that took place at the Wellington Apartments in Auburndale, Florida. Through investigative work, the detectives identified Anthony Lewis as a suspect in this homicide case.
The attached video footage shows the suspect in custody on May 16th, after Anthony Lewis was located by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and transferred to the Auburndale Police Department for questioning.
We sincerely hope this significant development in the investigation can bring some comfort to the victim’s family as they deal with this difficult and sorrowful situation.
