We are seeing a lot of questions and rumors regarding whether or not FEMA individual assistance is available for Polk County residents following Hurricane Milton. Please know FEMA individual benefit designations aren’t announced until after initial assessment is complete to determine what areas will be declared a Major Disaster Area. This process is currently underway. No areas have been added to individual assistance eligibility as-of this morning.
