On November 20, 2024, Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a commercial structure fire on Lanier Road in Lakeland.
Crews were dispatched at 5:20 p.m. and Engine 6 arrived on scene less than two minutes later. Upon arrival, crews found a working fire in a storage unit facility. Crews worked quickly getting water on the fire and had it under control at 6:07 p.m.
The fire was primarily contained to one unit but neighboring units were damaged.
No injuries were reported and no patients were transported.
