A family of three was displaced from their mobile home in Cypress Shores on Friday after a fire broke out in the residence. The two adults and one child were assisted by the Red Cross following the incident. One individual was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Winter Haven fire crews quickly responded to the scene and were able to take control of the fire. While the mobile home was severely damaged, a neighboring residence experienced only minor heat damage to its siding. Thankfully, no firefighters were injured during the response.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
