Janet Doris Olson

Janet Doris Nelson Olson,92, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, in Alabama and will return to her home in Winter Haven, Florida.
She was born on October 31, 1932, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Iver Z. Nelson of Little Falls, Minnesota. Janet moved from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Winter Haven, Florida in 1981. She worked many years for The News Chief Newspaper.
Janet was proceeded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Mr. Arnold G. Olson and daughters: Kay Marie Olson and Sandra Jo Counts (Carl), and great-grandson Heath Horne. She is survived by three daughters: Susan Ann Horne (Bruce) Cedar Bluff, AL; Karen Sue Wolfington (Robert, Jr.) Benson, MN; Cindy Tonjes (Larry) Lake Wales, FL; son John A. Olson Blaine, MN, grandchildren Stephanie (Brandon), Steven, (Heather), Scott (Meredith), Robert III, Carol (Mason), Carla (Brian), Emily (Jeff) and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 2:30 PM on August 9th at Grace Lutheran Church with a service following at 2:30 PM. Burial will be at 10:00 AM on August 10th at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Winter Haven, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
