Cullis Pope
October 29th, 1934 – October 17th, 2025

Cullis Pope, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 90, in Lake Alfred, Florida. Born on October 29, 1934, in Ocilla, Georgia, Cullis lived a full and meaningful life, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege to know him.
Cullis was a man of many passions, including his long career as a truck driver. His dedication to family was paramount; he created countless memories while camping, fishing, and traveling with his loved ones. A true outdoorsman, he was known for his love of golf and barefoot water skiing, always seeking adventure on the water or green. A devoted Christian and member of the Family Worship Center for over 30 years, Cullis’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He found immense joy in discussing his beliefs and sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others. His kind, generous, and loyal nature made an impact on everyone he met, and he will be remembered for his unwavering support and love for his family and friends. Cullis Pope’s life was a testament to the values he cherished.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lloyd and Eloise Pope; his cherished spouse, Faye Pope; his grandson, Bailey Tilley; his siblings, including brothers Virgil and Lonnie Pope and sisters Janet Ponder and Lola Synder. Cullis is survived by his three devoted daughters: Darlene (Rodney) Sutton, Beverly (George) Miller, and Tammy (Frank) Moniz; grandchildren, Phillip Beasley, Chad (Angie) Beasley, Terica (Steve) Keene, Lil Joe Beasley, Clayton (Tonya) Keene, Ricky (Adrian) Blackwell, and seven great-grandchildren who will fondly remember their grandpa.
He will be greatly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. In honoring his memory, we remember Cullis as a guiding light who brought people together through his kindness and faith, leaving us with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
A visitation will be held on Thursday October 23 at 1:00 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care with a funeral service immediately following. Interment will be at Auburndale Memorial Park after the funeral service.
