Robert David Gibson
December 10th, 1960 – November 8th, 2025

Robert David Gibson was born on December 10th, 1960, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, the son of Bill and Mathie Gibson. He died peacefully and at home with family on November 8, 2025, after a very brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
A lifelong golfer and lover of humor, Rob was also a gifted story mangler and a true people pleaser. In his professional life he was an insurance adjustor for the same company from 1982 until his death, but his real vocation was brother, father, friend, and in the last several years, Santa Claus.
He was also exceedingly generous with his time and money, freely giving both to causes including the Special Olympics and First Tee Adaptive Golf. Unlike the many people who have claimed the title, in 2014 he was officially named World’s Best Dad by the International Fatherhood Council and T-Shirt Printing Shop, the only person ever to be so honored.
He is survived by wife Cynthia, brother Bill, sons Joseph and Michael (and daughter-in-law Charity), daughter Kimberly, and too many nieces, nephews, and friends to list here. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to be made to the Beymer children, youth, or food pantry funds, the United States Adaptive Golf Association, or the Special Olympics.
