Walter “Wes” Belisle

September 19th, 1946 – November 15th, 2025

Walter “Wes” Belisle, born September 19, 1946, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at Good Shepherd Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale, Florida. 

Wes lived a life defined by service, generosity, and unwavering dedication to others. Drafted into the Vietnam war at age 19, he carried the values of responsibility, courage, and commitment with him throughout the rest of his life. After his military service in the Army, he was a DJ at various radio stations for over 20 years. He then went on to devote his career to education and community leadership. He served as an FFA director and science teacher for 35 years, at Boone Middle School, Haines City High school and Ridge Technical College. He was a proud Boy Scout master/leader for 40 years for troop 558, always finding ways to guide, mentor, and lift up those around him. He was a long-time member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His generosity touched countless lives, and created a legacy of compassion, that will be remembered for generations.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Mavis Belisle. He is survived by his sister, Lanette Belisle; son, Sean Belisle; daughter, Alicia Belisle; grandsons, Conner and Dylan Belisle; son, Walter Belisle; daughter, Cherl Belisle; granddaughters, Anna and Sara Belisle; and grandson, Tyler Belisle. 

Wes’ family, friends, and community will forever cherish his dedication, his gentle spirit, and the example he set through a life spent helping others.
