The Florida Move Over Law requires drivers to move over from the lane closest to the stationary emergency vehicle, tow truck, road ranger, or utility service vehicle when it is safe to do so. If it is not safe to move over, drivers must slow down to a speed that is 20 mph less than the posted speed limit.
