A Lakeland man was shot and killed at his residence on Fleming Avenue Tuesday morning, September 10, 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victim was identified as 32-year old Alfredo \u201cFreddie\u201d Alfaro-Astello.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office were able to locate the suspect; he was identified as 38-year old Clinton \u201cCJ\u201d Robinson, Jr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deputies arrived at the scene at about 10:07 am following the report of gunshots. Upon their arrival, they found Mr. Alfaro-Astello deceased in the front yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PCSO Homicide detectives began their investigation and soon learned that witnesses saw Robinson approach the victim, heard multiple gunshots, saw smoke coming from a firearm held by Robinson, and heard him say, \u201cHow do you like me now?\u201d as he walked away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two men are neighbors, and witnesses said that there have been prior arguments between the two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDetectives are still trying to determine what specifically lead this morning\u2019s deadly interaction, and believe there may be more witnesses. Those who have any information about this murder, please contact homicide detectives at the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office at 863-298-6200 or Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-888-400-TIPS.<\/em>\u201d \u2013 Grady Judd, Sheriff.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies were able to locate Robinson and take him into custody. He is currently being interviewed at the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation is ongoing, and Robinson will be charged with murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
