Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has confirmed that two personal watercrafts (PWCs) were involved in the incident that injured a child over the weekend. One PWC made contact with the other PWC that the juvenile was on, and as a result the juvenile suffered an injury to the leg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FWC also confirmed that the collision occurred on Lake Lulu, and the parties involved then brought their PWCs through the canal over to Lake Shipp where the child was eventually transported for injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 21, 2024 just before 2:00 p.m. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) responded to a boating incident in Winter Haven, Polk County. The FWC, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Winter Haven Police Department, and Polk County Fire Rescue all responded to the scene of a boating incident on Lake Lulu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preliminary information indicated that a Personal Watercraft (PWC) was traveling on Lake Lulu when it contacted a juvenile injuring the juvenile\u2019s leg. The juvenile was then transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries. This is an active investigation and the FWC will be the lead agency for the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
