On December 4, 2024 Polk County Fire Rescue and Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Duff Road and Kathleen Road in Lakeland. The initial 911 call came in just before 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meghan Petty, Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office Public Information Officer advised two vehicles were involved in the crash: White Hyundai and Silver Subaru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Callers reported an elderly person was possibly injured and a child was involved, but not injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time, law-enforcement cannot confirm what caused the collision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We reached out to Polk County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Nathaniel Gale, and the confirmed two patients were transported to a local hospital via ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The extent of the patients\u2019 injuries is unknown, however, Petty did advise that it doesn\u2019t appear to be serious bodily injury for either patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of 2:30 p.m., the roadway is clear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
