UPDATE 2:34 pm June 13<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All lanes of southbound Hwy 17 and Cypress Gardens Blvd. turn lanes, that were closed for the FDOT work, are BACK OPEN!   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPDATE 5:21 pm June 12<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work continues on the storm water pipe on Hwy 17 in Winter Haven. FDOT has shut down the two right lanes of Hwy 17 at Cypress Gardens Blvd as the work continues. This leaves one lane open for Hwy 17 from Ave. O SW past the intersection at Cypress Gardens Blvd. Two turn lanes on Cypress Gardens Blvd. are reduced to one turning on to Hwy 17.
At this time, there is no time frame for the completion of the work. 
Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes instead of using Hwy 17 south approaching the intersection at Cypress Gardens Blvd. as well those traveling west on Cypress Gardens Blvd. to Hwy 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*** Please note as of Thursday (6\/12) a.m., this area is still being worked on and drivers will continue to see lane closures on CGB and Hwy 17 throughout the day. ***<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traffic Alert UPDATE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional closure for the far right turn lane on Cypress Gardens Blvd for drivers turning onto Hwy 17 will be closed. This brings the turn lanes to one on Cypress Gardens Blvd. There will be significant back ups in this area and drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRAFFIC ALERT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The farthest right lane on southbound Hwy 17 from Ave. R SW towards the bridge is shut down due to an FDOT underground storm water issue. Drivers heading south on Hwy 17 approaching the intersection at Cypress Gardens Blvd. will be diverted over through the intersection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADDITIONALLY – the far right TURN lane on Cypress Gardens Blvd. will be closed for those turning onto<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hwy 17. There will be significant back ups in this area and drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
