The Lakeland location of the Polk County Tax Collector’s Office is currently undergoing repairs to its flooring, which will significantly reduce the number of customers seen daily until the project is completed in May. Tax Collector Joe Tedder highly recommends customers take advantage of online, phone, kiosk, mail service, or visiting other service center locations.

Customers can expect increased wait times at all service center locations during this important maintenance project. To better serve customers during this time, there will be increased service hours with the addition of Saturday hours twice a month at select Polk County Tax Collector locations. There is also increased staffing in the Call Center and through the live online chat service.
