Arelis Torres

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arelis Torres, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, who departed this life on February 9, 2026, in Winter Haven, Florida, at the age of 69. Born on April 6, 1956, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Arelis was a radiant soul whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she encountered.
Arelis was known for her generous spirit, always treating everyone with kindness and respect. She had a deep love for music and dancing, often filling her home with melodies that created joyful memories for her family and friends. Known as a calm and quiet presence, Arelis had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and welcome. She was an exceptional dominoes player, enjoying many spirited games that brought laughter and camaraderie to those around her.
Her legacy will be one of love, honesty, and compassion—qualities that she exemplified in her everyday life. Arelis will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of getting to know her. As we honor Arelis’ memory, we invite those who knew her to reflect on the indelible mark she left on our hearts. In this time of mourning, let us celebrate the beautiful life she led, and the joyous moments shared with her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Arelis was preceded in death by her parents, Angel Torres and Maria Vergara; and her brothers, Antolino Torres, Luis Torres, and Efrain Torres; as well as her sisters, Isabel Campos and Carmen Torres.
She is survived by her devoted son, Richard (Lissette) Torres; her loving daughters, Luz (Carlos) Rivera and Ruby (Marco) Cuba; and her cherished grandchildren, Ismael Velez IV, Giana Robledo, Manuel Pujols III, Joshua Lockspeiser, Jacob Lockspeiser, Chanel Torres, David Torres, Daniel Torres; great-grandchildren, Darrick Mack Jr., Eve Pujols, Lily Romero; sister, Angelina Jimenez; multiple nieces and nephews.
