Peter Collins NeSmith, born on October 8, 1984, in Winter Haven, Florida, passed away in his hometown on May 10, 2026. A devoted son, brother, and nephew, Peter was cherished deeply by those who knew him.

Peter was a man of profound passions and warm spirit. He loved Jesus deeply, finding inspiration and guidance in his faith throughout his life. A lover of music, Peter not only delighted in listening but also enjoyed playing and writing music. His love extended to his loyal dog Jake; a cherished companion whose passing left a tender space in Peter’s heart.

Known for his old soul and cheery disposition, Peter loved to debate and learn, always eager to engage thoughtfully and expand his understanding of the world. He delighted in the pleasures of good food and exploring the cuisines of countries around the world. Above all, Peter’s greatest joy came from loving and caring for people. He was a mama’s boy at heart and held his family, especially, “Floyd Collins Hearn” his Pawpaw, in the highest regard.

Peter is lovingly remembered by his parents, Pete and Rhonda NeSmith; his sister, Samantha NeSmith, and her husband Dan McKinley; his maternal grandmother, Sherrie Hearn; his aunts Janan Sherer, Iris Concannon and her husband Jay, Debbie Ammons and her husband Wayne; and many loving cousins. Their lives were touched and enriched by his warmth and kindness.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, on May 16, 2026, at HighPoint Church in Lake Wales, Florida. Visiting hours will begin at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
