Polk County Government Florida
The Florida Department of Transportation is contributing $3.3 million to Phase 1 of Polk County’s Thompson Nursery Road Extension project. Phase 1 of the Winter Haven road-widening project includes a proposed four-lane road extending from US 17 at SR 540 to W. Lake Ruby Road. Polk County will design, permit, provide utility coordination, right-of-way acquisition and construction.
