December 29 – The PCSO investigated an Amtrak train vs bicyclist in the area of Eloise Loop Road & Macon Road (Winter Haven).
The crash occurred at about 2:20pm earlier today.
The bicyclist is a 37yr old male from Winter Haven.
He suffered trauma to the left side of his body (leg and arm) and was transported by air to a local hospital.
He is in critical but stable condition.
The railroad crossing equipment was functioning properly at the time of the crash.
