What is the best Christmas gift you could give yourself and your loved ones? KNOWLEDGE! We are still getting reports of unsuspecting citizens who are dupped into withdrawing thousands of dollars and told to put in a box for a currier to pick up. The scammers call or text (primarily targeting elderly folks) saying they are from a government agency or a bank. It could involve a fake fine they owe or a problem with the bank account. The victim is instructed to withdraw thousands and hand over to a courier in a sealed box. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!
Spread the word! Talk to your family members, friends, neighbors – just a quick conversation about how this can potentially drain the life savings from unsuspecting citizens.
