On July 21, 2024 at approximately 8:31 p.m. Polk County Fire Rescue was dispatched to 945 Classic View Dr in Auburndale in reference to a Structure Fire.
Over a dozen units were dispatched to the scene to assist with fighting the fire.
Upon Polk County Fire Rescue’s arrival at 8:39 p.m., flames and smoke were both observed coming from the roof of the residence and crews confirmed with the homeowner that no occupants were inside.
Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire. The fire scene was cleared just before midnight.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
One firefighter was treated for a minor injury on scene.
