Nettie Lawanda Price
AUGUST 15, 1949 – AUGUST 27, 2024
Lawanda Price, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, entered into rest on August 27, 2024 at the age of 75.
Born on August 15, 1949, Lawanda graduated from Winter Haven High School, then began a 27 year career as a cosmetologist. In the latter part of her career, Lawanda, alongside her late husband, transitioned into the transportation industry and together owned Price Transport for another 22 years.
Outside of her careers, Lawanda found joy in being out in the water boating and fishing and she also had a love for cooking.
Lawanda is survived by her son, Kevin Beard (Erika Persson), grandson Keller Beard, and step-daughters Carmen Hawer and Candy Smith (Tracy). She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyce Elwin (D.E.) Price.
Lawanda’s legacy of love, resilience, and joy will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
