Barbara Anne Truitt

Barbara Anne Truitt, 84, of Auburndale, FL passed away on October 21, 2025. She was born to Ishmael Aaron and Jewel Dean Umphrey on November 20, 1940, in Lawrenceburg, TN. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jere P. Truitt; two children, Dr. James Truitt (Cindy) and Judy Truitt McVay (Ron); five grandchildren, Jeremy Griner (Megan), Brittany Truitt Hollis (Jay), Brett Truitt, Jake Griner and Brigetta Truitt; four great grandchildren, Lilly Griner, Madi Griner, James Hollis and Eleanor Hollis; two siblings, Joy Banner and Aaron Umphrey. She was a schoolteacher for 37 years, and a graduate of Florida Southern College. Barbara loved gardening and her many friends in the Bouquet Garden Club of Winter Haven. There are no services at this time.
