Frances Heath

June 13th, 1945 – March 6th, 2026

With grace, style, and the unmistakable charm of a true Southern Belle, Frances Ingram Heath, passed unexpectedly, leaving her family and friends stunned by the sudden loss. Born in Sumter, South Carolina, to Howell Quintard and Perry Heath, she carried her Southern roots proudly throughout her vibrant life—warm, gracious, and always impeccably put together.

Full of personality and flair, she had an effortless sense of fashion and a fondness for jewelry that reflected her sparkling spirit. She cherished time spent with her many friends, gathering regularly to share laughter, good conversation, and a favorite glass of wine. Creative at heart, she enjoyed cardmaking and scrapbooking, turning memories into keepsakes that her loved ones will cherish forever.

Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother.  She adored her two sons, Rick and Barry, who were the center of her world. She was endlessly proud of them—supporting their dreams wholeheartedly, encouraging their endeavors, and lovingly guiding them back on course whenever they needed steady direction.  She also cherished her daughters-in-law, Tammy and Carol, welcoming them with open arms and treating them as her own.

She especially cherished the laughter she shared with her grandson Colby, delighting in their playful joking and the inside humor that blossomed during their annual back‑to‑school shopping outings. Her love extended to her granddaughter, Makenna, whose presence brought her tremendous joy. She cherished the quiet moments they shared—expressions of love communicated through smiles, gentle touches, and a bond that spoke louder than words. Their time together was filled with warmth, patience, and a deep understanding.

She approached life with a spirit of adventure, always ready to try something new. Whether ziplining, floating in a hot air balloon, or taking a thrilling ride in a bi‑plane, she embraced each experience with excitement and courage. She loved to travel, explore, and discover, and she balanced her adventurous side with her love of peaceful, pampering spa days.

Generous, warm, and deeply kind‑hearted, she gave freely of her time and resources, finding fulfillment in helping others. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Buddy and Barry Heath; and her beloved grandson, Colby.

Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her, but her legacy—of joy, creativity, elegance, and adventure—will continue to shine brightly. She will be remembered for her gracious heart, her impeccable style, her vibrant presence, and the way she made every person feel welcomed and valued.

She leaves behind her cherished family, Rick (wife Tammy) and Barry (wife Carol); her treasured granddaughter Makenna; and countless memories that will forever be held close by all who were blessed to know her.

A gathering of family and friends will be held March 28, 2026 at 10 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven followed by a memorial service at 11 am.

Frances will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Sumter, South Carolina, a place deeply tied to her roots and her family’s history. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor her memory to consider making a donation to The Humane Society of Winter Haven, a cause close to her heart, at https://www.humanesocietyofpolkcounty.org/.
