Bertha “Bert” Lee Belford
November 28, 1930 — May 20, 2026

Bertha Lee Belford was born in Bartow, Florida to the late parents, Thomas (Buddy) Belford and Adline Brockton on November 28, 1930.
She spent decades of her life with her life partner, Walter Greeley Lewis. Several nursing homes and restaurants employed Bert as a very talented cook in the small town of Lake Hamilton, Florida. She was known as an excellent soul food cook, with finesse, deep flavor, and don’t forget, a touch of love, emotion, and much more.
Bert was preceded in death by her partner, Walter Lewis; her oldest son, Frankie L. Belford; two infants at birth; one grandson, Charles Summage; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Morris and Helen Dozier; and one brother, Alfonso Belford.
Bert leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Beatrice Sims of Orlando, Florida and Sarah Smith of Lake Hamilton, Florida; four sons: Clifford Tyler of Haines City, Florida, David Belford (Rita) of New York, Alfonso Lewis (NeReida) of Winter Haven, Florida, Terry Lewis of Lake Hamilton, Florida; one sister: Virginia Gochet of Haines City, Florida; two brothers: Willie Bell (Jr Boy) of Bellport, New York and Sylvester Bell of Lake Hamilton, Florida; 23 grandchildren and a never ending number of great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren. along with a host of nieces and nephews, neighbors, friends and relatives.
