Ongoing Road Maintenance: Crack Sealing and Micro-Surfacing
Residents may notice a “striped” appearance on some roadways throughout Winter Haven. This is part of a scheduled maintenance process designed to extend the life of our streets and improve long-term driving conditions.
The current phase—crack sealing—fills in surface cracks to prevent water intrusion, which can lead to potholes and more costly repairs. While the appearance during this stage is temporary, it plays a critical role in protecting roadway infrastructure.
After at least 30 days of curing, a double micro-surface treatment will be applied to create a smooth, finished driving surface.
Roads will remain open to traffic throughout this process. Please use caution near work areas and follow any posted signage.
