FloridaCommerce has announced a major new expansion at Winter Haven’s Central Florida Integrated Logistics Park. Chick-fil-A Supply will build a 244,000-square-foot distribution facility that represents more than $150 million in capital investment and is expected to create more than 180 full-time jobs.
According to the official FloridaCommerce press release, the project is part of the state’s effort to attract large-scale logistics and manufacturing operations. Florida Secretary of Commerce J. Alex Kelly said the announcement shows that the strategy is working, stating, “FloridaCommerce is seeing unprecedented investment in our state’s manufacturing and logistics sectors” Kelly said these projects are bringing sustainable job growth into communities across Florida. Chick-fil-A Supply leadership said the company is committed to long-term investment in the communities where it operates. Executive Director Josh Gann said, “We are grateful for the opportunity to join the Winter Haven community and look forward to supporting locally owned Chick-fil-A restaurants across the state.”
The Winter Haven Economic Development Council credited the project to years of coordinated planning and development. President Bruce Lyon said the area is now positioned as a major distribution hub, stating, “Winter Haven is rapidly becoming a central point for logistics in Florida, and this project reinforces the benefits of the infrastructure we’ve built.”
The new facility will serve an estimated 170 Chick-fil-A restaurants across Florida and is expected to open in 2027. It adds to the company’s expanding national distribution network, which currently includes 11 centers.
The project was supported through partnerships between FloridaCommerce, the Winter Haven Economic Development Council, CSX, and private sector development at the Central Florida Integrated Logistics Park.
