Those navigating a life transition or facing a challenging season are invited to take part in a mental health art workshop designed to encourage reflection, acceptance, and hope.
Trauma healing facilitator and visual artist Galina Hitching will lead the gentle, no-experience-needed workshop on Tuesday, January 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The session is open to all skill levels and focuses on using creativity as a tool for emotional expression and healing.
Participants will be guided through simple breathing exercises, sensory exploration, and expressive play to create an abstract landscape painting that reflects their current inner experience. The workshop emphasizes self-awareness, compassion, and creative freedom in a supportive and welcoming environment.
The workshop is sponsored by the Polk Arts and Cultural Alliance.
