A traffic collision occurred today at the intersection of Carlton Arms Boulevard and Cypress Gardens Boulevard SE in Winter Haven, Florida.
The crash was reported just before 12:45 this afternoon (September 19, 2025).
Polk County Fire Rescue, Winter Haven Fire Department and Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded promptly to the scene.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office confirmed three vehicles were involved in the crash – a red/maroon Chevy Tahoe, a gold Chevy Malibu and a red SUV.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area while emergency personnel managed the scene. After the crash, all eastbound lanes were shut down between Walmart and 27.
Around 1:20 pm, a helicopter landed and took off less than 10 minutes later with one patient.
We reached out to Polk County Fire Rescue’s Public Information Officer (PIO) Nathaniel Gale and he confirmed two patients were transported- one trauma alert by air and one (non trauma) via ground.
The conditions of the patients are unknown at this time. We will update this article if any additional details come in from law-enforcement.
