Must Read

A message from Winter Haven Public Safety Department-

If you have not received a text or email saying you have unpaid tolls and you MUST pay now, hold tight – you’ll get one really soon. The fraudulent toll scams continue to come in various ways. The scammers create websites that closely resemble official toll payment portals such as SunPass and E-ZPass. Victims are asked to provide personal and financial information opening up the opportunity for identity theft or fraud.
If you receive a text or email regarding unpaid tolls, you should check your account immediately using the official SunPass or E-ZPass portals – NOT using the links the scammers provide. You can also call SunPass or E-ZPass using their customer service number to check on your account.
Just remember, any message that threatens a penalty if immediate payment is not made is probably a scam. Don’t fall for it!
