The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man accused of committing multiple thefts and burglaries across the area, Sheriff Grady Judd announced.

Cesar Antonio Hernandez, who officials say is in the United States illegally from Mexico, is currently being held in the county jail on multiple charges, including burglary, petty theft, and grand theft. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Hernandez will serve his sentence upon conviction before being deported back to Mexico.

Authorities say one of the incidents was captured on a Ring doorbell camera, which helped identify Hernandez. In that case, he was seen stealing a red, white, and blue cornhole set along with a bicycle from a residence.

Sheriff Judd emphasized how technology is making it increasingly difficult for criminals to avoid detection.

“You can’t steal anymore without being caught,” Sheriff Judd said.
